Dr. Sunbola Zatmeh-Kanj recently joined our group for five-month as a Guest Researcher, to collaborate with Associate Prof. Carlos Lima de Azevedo in research in the frontier of behavior modeling and emotional sensing.
Dr. Sunbola Zatmeh-Kanj is an Associate Professor in the Department of Transport and Planning and a member of the Traffic Engineering Lab at Ariel University. Her research is in the areas of transportation systems modeling and analysis, including traffic simulation models and their calibration and validation, driving and travel behavior, AVs impact on travel behavior and driving simulator experiments.
Before joining Ariel University, she finished her bachelor’s degree in economics and management in the Faculty of Industrial Engineering and Management. and received master’s and PhD studies in Transportation Engineering in the Faculty of Civil and Environmental Engineering from the Technion- Israel Institute of Technology. Her PhD investigated the effects of various forms of distraction on driving behavior and traffic characteristics.
