On April 20th, 2021, Inon Peled successfully defended his Ph.D. thesis entitled “Machine Learning Methods for Transportation under Uncertainty.“

New member in our group: welcome Frederik!

Frederik Boe Hüttel joined our group last March 1st, 2021, as a Ph.D. student within the project BOON (Behavior Oracle for always-ON electrical mobility), where he will focus on applying Active Learning, Causality, and Censored modeling methods to predict EV charging demand through space and time with uncertainty.

We wish him a productive and fun time during his stay with us! 🙂

New member in our group: welcome Antonios!

Antonios Koutounidis joined our group as a Research Assistant in December 2020. He is working on creating the supply road network of Greater Copenhagen for the SimMobility simulation tool. He is also working on energy behavior analysis of electric vehicles owners and on the EV charging location problem.

Ioulia Markou, who completed her PhD last year in our group, won the 3rd place in the TRA VISIONS 2020 Young Researcher Competition in the cross-modality category, with her work entitled Prediction of traffic anomalies due to special events. Congrats, Ioulia!
